Subject: Just wanted to let you know how the
surgery went...

Dear Laura,
I wanted to give you an update on how my surgery
went. I am back at home and recovering. I
had my surgery last Thursday. I was not at
all nervous prior to the surgery, thanks to
the hypnosis. I felt very calm and confident.
While
I was in the recovery room Thursday evening,
I used the deep breathing and it seemed to
really help -- especially with the nausea
and keeping calm. At MY own request of the
nurses, I was on my feet the next morning
at 6 AM brushing my teeth and walking around
my room. I felt an inner calm and fortitude
about getting well as soon as possible. I
felt determined not to let anything get in
the way of my recovery -- including negative
thinking.
Later
on Friday, I walked up and down the hospital
corridors under my own power. More of the
same on Saturday -- including taking my own
shower. Sunday morning the doctor visited
me at 7 AM and described my recovery as "nothing
short of remarkable." (His exact words.) They
sent me home on Sunday at 10:00 AM -- a day
and a half early.
I
am feeling just fine. Very little pain. I
do get tired and have to rest and work within
my body's limits. I feel that I am very blessed
and am grateful for the hypnosis and all of
the other tools I had at my disposal to get
well. I believe that I am a very strong person
-- but that the hypnosis certainly helped
me in my "remarkable" recovery from a major
surgery. It was easier for me to call on the
inner strength that I needed and to remain
positive. This was so important!
Thank
you
